- Both are made by Borland. DOS-specific functions and other extensions will be
- the same for both compilers.

- Turbo C is a low-cost version intended for students and amateur or hobby
- programmers. The latest TC version I have has almost all documentation on
- CD-ROM, very little on paper.

- Borland C is the higher priced "professional" version. It comes with better
- support tools (debugger, separate assembler, profiler, etc., and (at least
- in V. 2 that I have) all manuals in hardcopy. I have seen rumors that the BC
- compiler may be "better" than the TC version - better optimization, etc., but
- don't know if that is true.
